Adopted January 2007: Norwalk Land Trust's role is to preserve and protect natural green spaces permanently: critical habitat and wetlands that could be lost forever in the future. In this time of vanishing wilderness, helping people see for themselves the land as seen by its original settlers, has never been greater. Norwalk Land Trust advises landowners, explaining how they, the natural green ecosystem, and the City all gain when lands are protected from inappropriate use. Norwalk Land Trust is a 501(c)3 charitable organization: donation of land or easement to Norwalk Land Trust can impact property taxes/tax deductions as provided under IRS code.
